======================================================================================

Use Testimonials.

Don't use all caps for more than one or two words. It draws attention away from key selling words.

Use Pronouns for a personal touch. (I, You, He, She).

Vanity and Superiority are strong marketing and sales tools.

Keep a file of ads that catch your attention. Refer to them when writing.

Use negative or off-center approaches the reader doesn't expect to see.

Speak to the Reader, not at the Reader.

Target your ad to a specific audience.

Appeal to the reader's emotions and instincts.

Write to convince even the most hardened skeptics.

Overcome any objections the buyer may have.

Make "limited" use of power words.

Capture and keep the reader's interest.

Show the facts and prove of your claims.

Use Short Words, Short Sentences and Short Paragraphs.

Use Adjectives & Adverbs to illuminate your message.

Check every sentence and eliminate any words that are not necessary.

Get a second opinion. Have someone else read your ads "critically".

Help the reader justify the purchase.

Write copy that coincides with current social and moral attitudes in your target group.

Motivate you reader to buy NOW.

Use special benefits to make your product more attractive.

Make your reader believe in you.

Relate and communicate like the average person.

Know what your target market really wants.

Be able to easily lead into your back-end offers

Emulate other successful (but not over used) ad copy structures.

Make your product so attractive that your reader has no choice but to buy.

Remember that your HEADLINE is the most important part of your ad.

Write, re-write and re-write and re-write again...

Keep it simple stupid, don't confuse your readers.

Spell Check Your Work!

When writing ad copy, use Unique Approaches whenever possible.

Provide a visual reference complimenting the theme of your ad when circumstances allow.

Make it clear how they can purchase your product or service.

For larger ads, use a subhead. It can provide additional information in a headline format.

Get them excited and make them want to see more of your product or service.

Create your own system for testing and tracking the success of different ads.

Advertise where it counts. There is no use in publishing computer ads in the Amish Weekly.

Set Time Limits to Respond. (buy in the next 72 hours and receive.....).

Offer guarantees.
