This is a Mi'kmaw song to honor the kitpu (eagle) who is the messenger for the Creator !!
My kids and I sang this Honor song for the Kitpu on the spurr of the moment the other day, and we sang it without any practice, without checkin the microphone, without any preparations or practice runs !!
For the past few days we have seen a lot of Eagles flying around in the sky above and around our house ! They like to soar around up and down the over the river in front of our house as well. We see them sometimes grabbing salmon or bass right out of the water. They are really quite an awesome and humbling site !!
